Madison to Zurich

 9/22/2023

We begin our trip by parking in the economy parking lot of the airport in Madison, WI.  This means a walk of 15 minutes to the airport terminal with roller bags.  After checking in our one checked luggage, we have a three hour wait before our plane leaves for Chicago's Ohare Field.  We can easily recognize the other travelers on our trip as we all are wearing our blue t-shirts with the Pilgrimage Trip dates and destination.  

On the plane trip to Chicago, I discovered that my new roller bag would not fit in the overhead.  Moment of panic!  Now what do I do?  Everyone wants to take their seat and I am standing in the aisle with no place to put my roller bag.  Fortunately, the stewardess saw my situation and put the bag in a closet I didn't know existed.  Whew, saved again.

The connection in Chicago to Swiss Air was very smooth and my roller bag did fit in their larger plane's overhead.  A smooth flight to Zurich Switzerland with generous food and drink.
